4277b
SCENE On an Autumn day, Chris recounts a humorous story to Elmo, Rosita and Leela, when they hear the cries of someone in need. They find it's Stinky the Stinkweed, who's stuck under a pile of leaves. They dig him out and he's grateful, but explains their work was pointless; he'll soon be covered up again. They decide to observe the leaves and find the tree they're coming from; Rosita and Elmo dub themselves "Leaf Detectives."

4277d
SCENE cont'd As they go around the garden, they compare their leaf to the ones on the other trees, but finding no matches. They finally find the one dropping leaves on Stinky, who decides to give it a piece of his mind. Leela hushes him, believing that won't work as the tree is deciduous. Stinky's not familiar with that word, so Chris and Leela lead a rap song about it.

SCENE cont'd Stinky accepts the fact that he'll just have to put up with falling leaves each year for the rest of his life. His friends don't want that and get the idea to cover him with something. Rosita gets an umbrella, which will cut him off from his much-needed sunlight. Elmo plops a plastic bowl on him, which would prevent him from getting rain too. Rosita then spots a screen in the wheelbarrow and they use it (and some wood) to create a netting over him. He's so elated by their successful device that he begins to sing a song.

After Gonnigan and Abby demonstrate, he tries to use their opposite spell on Gonnigan, but uses it on himself instead. Suddenly, Blรถgg becomes the opposite of himself, wearing posh clothing and being obsessed with cleanliness (constantly giving Niblet a bath). Gonnigan likes having a less-disgusting friend around now, but Opposite-Blรถgg ruins their playtime by putting away their blocks and refusing to wear the wrinkled costumes. Abby and Gonnigan learn that to change him back, Blรถgg has to do the spell on himself. Abby tempts him with his favorite stinky cheese, but he instead is frightened by it. A squirrel wants to display his giant acorn, but his shelf comes loose. Super Grover 2.0 arrives and tries holding it up, finding that won't work, nor does his sticky tape. The squirrel notices a hole in the shelf and thinks something should go in. Grover plugs a carrot in, which doesn't keep the shelf attached to the tree. The squirrel then notes the hole has ridges, so Grover tries a rigid potato chip that fails too. He finally pulls out a screw, which he thinks is useless. Despite Grover's doubts, the squirrel pulls out his screwdriver and uses the screw to attach his shelf to the tree, keeping it put! An even larger acorn knocks out Grover, which the squirrel also proudly places on his shelf.
