Shane Rimmer (1932-2019) was a Canadian character actor who has appeared in multiple Jim Henson's Creature Shop films: Dreamchild (as Mr. Marl), Mee-Shee: The Water Giant (as Bob Anderson), and Batman Begins (as "Older Gotham Water Board Technician,") for which the Creature Shop supplied additional digital effects.

Rimmer had a more direct involvement in puppetry productions in the 1960s, supplying character voices in many of Gerry Anderson's "Supermarionation" television series, notably as Scott Tracy in Thunderbirds and as Dick Spanner, Private Eye. He supplied the official tour voice for NASA's Cape Canaveral Space Camp. Rimmer's TV credits included cowboy Seth Harper in the 1966 Doctor Who "Gunfighters" serial (in the individually titled episode "Holiday for the Doctor") and guest spots on Coronation Street, Danger Man, and Partners in Crime.

One of Rimmer's more notable film roles was as "Ace" Owens, one of the bomber crew in Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (with Peter Sellers and James Earl Jones), while other films include The Dirty Dozen and Rollerball. A familiar face in sci-fi and action movies, often as controllers or operators, he played small roles in several notable films or franchises: the original Star Wars (as an InCom engineer); Superman II (controller) and Superman III (state policeman); and three James Bond films, You Only Live Twice (Hawaii radar operator), Diamonds Are Forever (Tom), and The Spy Who Loved Me (as Commander Carter).
