"First and Last" is a song from Season 2 of Sesame Street. Two Anything Muppet boys, performed by Frank Oz and Jerry Nelson, demonstrate the virtue of being first or last. The song shows how sometimes, it can be good to be first, while at other times, it can be better being last.
The two boys are named First and Last, as First always arrives places first and Last is always the last to arrive. During the song, First finds some jellybeans and is able to eat them all before Last can get there. First eventually gets his comeuppance when he finds a present containing a monster that gives him a big kiss.
