Five Nights at Freddy's is a 2023 horror film based on the video game series of the same name. Jim Henson's Creature Shop supplied the animatronic characters.
The film stars Josh Hutcherson as a troubled security guard who accepts a night-time job at an abandoned family entertainment center, where he discovers its four animatronic mascots move and kill anyone that is still there after midnight. Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Matthew Lillard appear in supporting roles.
The project was first announced in July 2015,[1] and after several delays, filming began in February 2023 and wrapped in April 2023. In August 2022, producer Jason Blum announced that Jim Henson's Creature Shop was supplying the animatronic characters.
In April 2024, a sequel was officially announced,[2] with Jim Henson's Creature Shop returning to create animatronic characters.[3]
