"Flamingo Song" is an opera performed by Placido Flamingo during his introductory episode of Sesame Street.
Señor Flamingo sings of how there aren't a lot of bird opera singers. He counters that his long neck is what helps him perform, as stretching it allows him to hit the high notes. Placido is accompanied by several kids, Telly Monster, and Bob as the chorus, all appropriately dressed in pink feathers and long beaks. Bob also wears a matador's uniform as the song is sung to the tune of "The Toreador Song." At the song's end Placido acknowledges the help of his friends, though he makes sure they don't share the spotlight as much as he does.
