Florence and the Egg Makers

Florence and the Machine is an English indie rock band formed in 2007, fronted by singer-songwriter Florence Welch.

The band appeared on the November 19, 2011 broadcast of Saturday Night Live, which featured several appearances by the Muppets. Following the band's announcement during the opening monologue, Statler and Waldorf hope that Florence's machine is a time machine they can use to go back before they heard the opening song.

Welch herself interacted with the Muppets during the show's closing, and she was photographed backstage with Miss Piggy, Scooter, Kermit, and Gonzo.
