The new Sesamstrasse studio makes its debut, along with Samson, Tiffy, Lilo and Henning.

Also introduced is the first of a new ongoing series of film segments about the Bremer family, with the title referred to in publicity as "Eine ganz normale Familie" (roughly translated as "A Completely Normal Family").^[1]

	SCENE 1	The opening pan of the new set includes a shot of the cameraman. In the coach house, sitting in the carriage, Lilo welcomes the viewers to "Studio Sesamstrasse," and introduces Samson and Tiffy, who in turn re-introduce each other. Samson makes a point that Lilo is Lilo Pulver. They also repeat how they're all friends with each other... including Henning, who arrives with two child friends, Valerie and Michaela. Michaela, when prompted, introduces Henning as Henning Venske. Samson volunteers to pull the carriage and take them around the studio. He asks Lilo to add rein pulling motions and sounds and Henning to do the horse's clops.
	Muppets	Ernie and Bert: Exchange Places — Ernie imagines what life would be like if he and Bert had their characteristics switched around.
	SCENE 2	During the tour, the whole group periodically make horse whinnying sounds. Samson points out the interior kitchen set where he, Henning, and others like to sit, drink, and make telephone calls. He calls it their favorite trefftpunk (meeting place). Lilo points out the hammock which is Samson's favorite napping place. The hammock is in front of street walls adorned with graffiti. They ride past the Sesamstrasse street sign. The rainbow stair steps and slide, a favorite play place where they all enjoy going up and down, is next. They then notice Tiffy is missing... until she pops out of her favorite location, a round egg-like place with a collapsible canopy. Samson finally goes to his favorite garden spot, full of trees and running water.

	Film	Bremer Family: The family is relocating to a high rise apartment in Hamburg, near a Turkish family. A pair of mellow but slightly unenthusiastic moving men, eating sandwiches on their van, talk to a group of neighborhood kids, explaining the concept of birth towns. They hale from different places, with most of the German kids coming from Hamburg, while the immigrant children come from different places including Spain, Istanbul, and Anatolia (the last two both in Turkey). The Bremers arrive in a car, and the movers are cheered when Father Bremer presents them with a case of beer to carry. Daughter Anka comes out. While the other German and immigrant children leave in their own groups, she instantly makes friends with Filiz Yaradis, the Turkish girl. Mother Bremer encourages the friendship and welcomes her into their home. The father, while slightly distracted by trying to assemble shelving, is equally affable. Mother Bremer invites Filiz for lunch, and even the movers join them.
	Film	Händeballett: Using bunraku-style puppetry against a black screen, a pair of dance shoes perform a jazzy charleston on a curtained stage.

	SCENE 3	The group is now at a ticket booth kiosk, the show's train station. Then they halt in front of the chroma key blue screen, which turns into a desert with a camel... then a country setting (with twittering birds). A German castle is next, followed by a cathedral and city skylight scene at Christmas ("Jingle Bells" plays), and finally the blue screen again.

	SCENE 4	The cast relaxes in the kitchen. One of the kids touches Samson's nose. Then they say goodbye. "Wiedersehen!"
