Hopefully I'm able to send this but I was reading the local paper this morning and learned that the Taliban (who have taken over Afghanistan) have banned women from appearing on television as actresses and also banned shows that go against religious and Afghan values.
Would this mean we're in another situation with Baghch e Simsim just like we were with Iftah ya Simsim in the 90s where the show ended after Iraqi forces stormed the set during the Gulf War? I would hate to see something happen to the Muppets and Muppeteers in Afghanistan, Sesame Workshop hasn't addressed anything about the program and has done little to address it. --User:Winxgirl34 13:08, November 22, 2021
