Guys, this is big! We at Electric Company Wiki have made a major find: the University of Maryland has scripts for almost every Electric Company episode, AND let you access PDF's for all of it! And it's not just scripts, it's writer's notebooks, old activity books, promotional stuff... this could be a big help. COULD be, if not for the fact that you can only get 50 pages of PDF a month and more than that requires a credit card. But the good news is that you don't have to actually go to that school to get stuff, it's open to guest researchers too. Now, who here wishes to rise to such a challenge? - Congratulations on the big find! I was hoping someone would discover this while over at the U of M. A lot of the SS episode guides were initially built on the archive docs, but we didn't have access to scripts like TEC seemed to have saved. -- Tony (talk) 16:57, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks! If this goes well, the Electric Company wiki will be MASSIVELY expanded, but at the current rate it's a bit slow - there's a lot of money involved. On the plus side, the website does let you archive 50 pages of a document for free each month. Any more than that takes an extra $25. I've requested around 7 or so boxes of info but nothing has arrived yet. They're supposed to get here in 3 weeks or so. My friend Fivebee2 went through a four-day wait, so we'll see how well it goes for me. Jucas Lohnson (talk) 17:47, 18 December 2023 (UTC)Lucas
- Well, it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to take this any further. It's just too difficult for me. Hopefully someone here will try to help! Jucas Lohnson (talk) 18:42, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Lucas
- You know what? Forget it. We're not allowed to go back there to the U of M. They didn't say why, but my theory is that if we upload enough information from there to the wiki, we'll be stealing their job or something. So forget what I said. Maybe it's best for the majority of The Electric Company to remain nothing but memories. Jucas Lohnson (talk) 17:12, 29 January 2024 (UTC)Lucas
