I think we can safely say the announcer in Super Grover 2.0 is referencing Don LaFontaine. At least one bit, "Wheels," intones "In a world..." To be clear, that announcer voice is Jonathan Cook... or is it Tyler Bunch? --Splurge (talk) 01:27, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- It's Cook (same as Cookie's Crumby Pictures, and its specified on Cook's page anyway), and it's not really a reference. Cook is a trailer announcer himself, and while "in a world" later became most closely associated with LaFontaine, it was a standard trailer phrase and other trailer VOs have used it over the years (Hal Douglas used it a lot, but he was on the East Coast, and even does his own self-parody of it and other trailer cliches in the trailer for Jerry Seinfeld's The Comedian). -- User:Aleal 02:16, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- How many "in a world" references do we have? They do it in the Super Grover Ready to Learn spot, too. Might be enough for its own page. —Scott

- Close enough variants should probably count. The original The Dark Crystal trailer (voice not confirmed yet, but definitely not LaFontaine) uses "In a place outside time." It's still basically the same device/hook. That might be enough to start a page with, though more would help of course. -- Andrew
