The article for Ray Charles (music consultant) has the following sentence:

β€œHe had met Jim Henson in the 1960s while working as a musical director on a show for Perry Como, on which Dr. Teeth also appeared as a guest.”

It reads (to me at least) like Dr. Teeth was a guest on a Perry Como special in the 1960s... however our article on Dr. Teeth says the character didn't exist until the mid-1970s. Looking at the various Perry Como specials we have on the wiki, none mention Dr. Teeth appearing. Any idea what this appearance was where Henson and Charles first crossed paths? - BradFraggle (talk) 20:50, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Maybe there's a special or appearance featuring a character similar to Dr. Teeth. --Minor muppetz (talk) 21:20, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
Scott added it when he originally created the page in 2006, and apparently, we questioned this back then here and forgot about it. Yeah, that looks like confused info that may have been paraphrased from a website or something. Charles' earliest association with Henson was 1965's Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall, which didn't feature Dr. Teeth but several Muppet reindeer. β€” Jon latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 21:21, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
I missed this talk page back in 2006. Yeah, I have no idea where that came from. β€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 21:47, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
I'll go ahead and reword based on what we can verify. β€” Jon latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 14:45, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
