Stumbled across this post on Dan DeLange's website of an Emmet Otter reading from May 2019, with a hint towards a run in Fall 2020 (most likely the current run at the New Victory before a certain global health crisis delayed it). I think with the amount of information we now have about the musical's development, it may be worth restructuring the page for the musical? Since it's had a rather public development cycle, perhaps a section about differences from the TV special reflecting the final script, and another section documenting the changes over the past decade (like Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas edits but not necessarily on a separate page). I will add I have an audio recording of the 54 Below concert if anyone wants access to that to help in documenting changes. TenCents (talk) 16:29, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
- We're already doing this to an extent on the stage show page, but if there's more details that can be confirmed and added, breaking them up into sections seems like a sound idea. We can also probably make a note of that reading if we keep it vague; e.g. "A reading for the musical was held in New York City in May 2019 for a projected fall 2020 premiere." — Jon
