Hey folks!
I'm Chris, a Wiki Representative filling in while Lostris is away, with the latest updates from Fandom. Can you believe it's May already? Let's dive in!
Asian American Pacific Islander Month[]
This May, Fandom is celebrating the contributions of Asian-American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) creators in the entertainment industry for Asian American Pacific Islander Month. The theme this month is Breaking the Mold, breaking down stereotypes and showcasing the incredible work of AAPI creators.
There are so many things Fandom has planned for the event, including an AAPI Spotify playlist, highlighting AAPI artists in a diverse range of genres!
What does Breaking the Mold mean to you?

Star Wars Day![]
Last but not least, I posted a blog celebrating Star Wars Day on May 4, highlighting why Star Wars is awesome and what folks can do to celebrate it. As a long time Star Wars fan, I had so much fun writing it and chatting to users as well as highlighting some years old fan art!
We also featured some TERRIFIC Star Wars trading cards in the blog - I'd really appreciate it if you could show them some love!

That about covers it - if have you questions on anything, please let me know! --Spongebob456 talk 19:52, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
- With May and thus AAPI nearing its end, I wanted to build on Chris's excellent news overview and share the last updates
- Gene is the creator of the graphic novel American Born Chinese and author of the first five Avatar graphic novel trilogies (among other things), who sat down with Fandom's Community Manager, Gaming, Jieyang Low. Together they discussed the newly-released American Born Chinese series on Disney+, Gene's journey as an Asian American author, and what the theme of this AAPI month, Breaking the Mold, means to him.
- As AAPI month comes to a close, Jieyang wanted to talk about a few of his personal favorite games that feature Asian American protagonist: Life is Strange: True Colors (2021), Prey (2017), and Sleeping Dogs (2012). He also streamed playing this last one, so be sure to watch that stream on Twitch!
