I'm still in the process of cleaning up the Sesame Place attractions page, but when it comes to past attractions, are we counting every past version or only former attractions that underwent a major change?
For example, Rosita's Cocina was formerly Captain Ernie's Bistro, Captain Ernie's Grill, and Captain Ernie's Cafe. In the gallery for past attractions, would we put all of those?
There's also Cookie Monster's Funnel Cakes & More. That building was home to Grover's Island Grille and Snuffy's Snack Bar.
Then there's attractions that received a makeover but are essentially the same, such as Elmo's Silly Splashy Slides, formerly Bert & Ernie's Slip & Slide, and the Big Slipper. As well as Abby's Fairy Falls, formerly Slippery Slopes.
And as a follow-up question, are we including gift shops and restaurants under past attractions? - Maddox (talk) 19:36, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hmmm. I don't know. Maybe it's like how we treat certain puppets that are repurposed - like Mona becoming three other named characters. Same structure, but it's a new thing, thus new page. - Shane

- I think it may depend. The slides sounds like basically just a name change but no real difference, so I don't think those need to count as past attractions or individual pages. If there's a big difference between Abby's Fairy Falls and Slippery Slopes, two pages might work. Cookie Monster's Funnel Cakes & More formerly being a Grover food stand *and* a Snuffy one, sounds like probably a page for each if the images are there (or individual entries in the past attractions section, whatever feels most warranted). But Rosita's Cocina, only one "Captain Ernie's [Blank]" feels worth covering since it sounds like they just changed the noun/sign. That's my thoughts anyway. We really didn't have enough info to even consider this issue before! -- Andrew

- I think I should clarify. I'm only talking about the past attractions gallery. Abby's Fairy Falls and Slippery Slopes are both in the same section on Elmo's World (Sesame Place); Rosita's Cocina and all the Captain Ernie restaurants are in the same section on Sesame Island, etc. I've only made individual pages for attractions that aren't (or weren't) in a named area. Individual pages for this stuff would, in my opinion, spread the info out too much. It's nice to see all the past versions of Cookie Monster's Funnel Cakes & More in a single gallery. Plus, the info just isn't there. They'd all be stubs with nothing to expand on.

- Also, I should note the back of this press photo for an attraction at Sesame Studio, which says there were 40 participatory scientific exhibits, about 20 of which I have covered on the Sesame Studio page right now (hopefully I can find more). There's not much information for these, and only a couple pictures for some. Would each of these be counted as an "attraction" and go in that past attractions gallery? - Maddox (talk) 02:50, 18 March 2023 (UTC)
