Super Socks for Courage

I'm not sure where this would go, but I noticed a book from The Letter People in Episode 3501. Should something like this be given a page for literary reference, or a note on the episode page? I thought it was interesting considering that Allan Trautman had also performed on the Letter People TV series in the 1970s. -- Tony (talk) 03:48, 31 December 2021 (UTC)

It was working yesterday, but I remember that it had something to do with the local PBS station, KETC Channel 9 which produced the Letter People TV series. -- Tony (talk) 17:02, 31 December 2021 (UTC)

The link's working again, and the image caption reads: "Sesame Street's Bob McGrath visited letters K, E, T, and C from Channel 9's series The Letter People when he taped a segment for another KETC series, Get Together." -- Tony (talk) 05:05, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

The caption notes that it was taken in 1971 for his appearance on a series called Get Together. I don't know exactly what that is, but I found a few possibilities:

• Getting Together (1971)
• Get It Together (1970)
• Get Together with Sesame Street

The last one seems the most likely (I included the first two because I had trouble finding anything called simply "Get Togther" and sometimes these old shows are remembered under slightly different names). According to newspapers.com, "Get Together with Sesame Street" aired as early as March 25, 1971 with multiple repeats later in the year (mostly June, July, and August but going as late as December). One listing calls it "Get Together: Sesame Street" (which lends credence to it being a "Sesame Street" episode of a show called "Get Together"), but most of the others list it as a special called "Get Together with Sesame Street". The July 2, 1971 issue of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch goes one step further, calling it "Get Together with Sesame Street: Bob and Susan".

PS: According to that thread, the KETC station has these photos up on the wall. Here's the one of Jim Henson and Letter People's head puppeteer King Hall [1] [2]. Unfortunately, the caption is cut out of this one, but it looks like early 1970s as well. —Scott (talk) 14:20, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

Wow, that Henson picture is fantastic! However, the Bob picture seems to be mixed-up, as the Letter People series wasn't produced until 1974. -- Tony (talk) 14:38, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
