I know this seems nitpicky, but I'm wondering if we feel it's necessary to add include an instance in which Peter Linz's interpretation of Lips spoke clear coherent English for a short time before The Muppets Mayhem on his character page. In instances at The Muppets Take the Bowl and The Muppets Take the O2, Lips would speak normally during Zoot's sax solo in Can You Picture That?. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNqhycGrqJk. - Zach (talk) 15:53, July 24 2023 (UTC)

Yeah, I think that's notable for explaining the evolution of Linz's interpretation of the character. —Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 17:30, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
Two words doesn't seem like much to me. - Shane latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 18:29, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
I can't even make out what he's saying in that clip ("Oh" something). While it's not deliberate gibberish, I'm with Shane that it's not really significant. At most, a brief parenthetical mention of exactly what he's saying in the article (like some of Rowlf and Dr. Teeth's brief phrases noted before they returned to being full time speaking characters). Plus he speaks occasional coherent phrases on Muppets Mayhem too. In fact re-reading the actual Lips article, the live shows post date his having an actual full sentence in the 2015 series, which is quoted. So yeah, I don't think "says two words, one of which isn't clear from this audio" is worth adding in any form. Just because it's Linz and not Whitmire doesn't make the brief utterance notable, unless we find a quote from Peter Linz about it that actually demonstrates something. -- Andrew Emoji-droolAdminsig 18:43, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
I went ahead and took this out, since it doesn't state what Lips is saying and "Linz continued the lineage of Lips speaking additional coherent lines in a Louis Armstrong voice" is a huge leap when a) the voice doesn't sound like much of anyone and b) the Whitmire quotes are about his *considering* a Louis Armstrong voice (from even Whitmire's actual vocalizations as Lips, it's not really identifiable as an Armstrong impression if he ever indeed actually attempted it in an actual aired production). -- Andrew Emoji-droolAdminsig 18:54, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
We could potentially add that factor if more instances surface, but just so It's known, Lips says "Alright Zoot!". I found the original video with clearer audio at 1:46: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynq0z5515V0&t=0s. - Zach (talk) 21:20, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
In contrast with my first response when I didn't realize how limited the dialogue was, do you really think it's notable that Lips said "Alright Zoot" one time? —Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 00:16, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
