I'm curious because I used to love that movie, how is that movie listed in the Unfinished Movie category when it was finished and released in theaters? -- Zach 21:52, 2 February 2023โ€Ž (UTC)

Probably because Henson's particular involvement was cut short and filming proceeded without them. - Shane latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 03:03, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
I was going to answer similarly to Shane: we just didn't have a better category for something JHCS worked on where their involvement didn't end up in the movie. However, the way the Looney Tunes: Back in Action article is written (unsourced, by the way), it would seem that the Bugs and Daffy were never meant for the final movie anyway. They were just there for on-set reference. So I'm not sure the category is the best fit after all. โ€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 12:23, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
Ah, I just remembered Talk: Looney Tunes: Back in Action. To clarify, the JHCS puppets were NOT used on the shoot, the smaller, rebuilt puppets WERE. So, there you have it. I'll add the email correspondence on that talk page as a source on the article. โ€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 12:28, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
Yeah, it's like Dragonheart where the Creature Shop produced work which unused entirely, and which is in the same category, just slightly different given the purpose. The opposite is Scooby-Doo, where a reference puppet was commissioned, built, *and* used in shooting, even if it was replaced for final footage. In other words, we'd count development designs or sculptures from the Creature Shop if they were in some way used as a basis even if inspirational as Creature Shop movies, but not if ultimately another company or designer had to replace them. Thus the Henson contribution counts as unfinished even if a movie came out (same if an episode was planned of a talk show or outside series and never happened, even though the series itself exists). -- Andrew Emoji-droolAdminsig 01:47, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
