I've been bothered with the fact that we have pages for reruns of Episode 3696 and Episode 2787 but we don't link to them on the List of Sesame Street episodes page. So what if we merge these pages with the original ones like this? https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Episode_3697?diff=prev&oldid=1462843 We can have headers for the original broadcasts and the rerun on the same page. -- Anthony (talk) 05:17, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- I'm for using the tabber idea. I never liked the solution of creating a separate page for a rerun of the same episode. —Scott

- Regarding 2787, the one thing to note however is the rerun airing uses both a completely different set of street scenes and inserts from its initial (repeat episode) airing, so I'm not exactly sure how that would look on the same page. MackAttack92 (talk) 21:35, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- There's basically two different instances which I don't think can be handled the same way. One, Episode 3696, an episode was rerun, with the same street scenes/plot and under the same number, so only inserts and such are changed for Episode 3696/Rerun. So merging could work, probably need to be sandboxed first.
- But Episode 2787 is different, since as noted on the page the actual street story wasn't rerun, and Episode 2787/rerun is a different rerun using the same number. If the concern is that it isn't on List of Sesame Street episodes, it can go in a note or be asterisk linked or something (a major use of that page is to track what we've fully guided; to show everything in the category, well, that's what the category is for). I don't think combining two episodes which are only related because they used the same number is useful and tabbing would just mean showing completely different content for everything. So I'd vote in favor of the first change depending on how it's presented in a sandbox (the edits Anthony pointed to were made by a blocked user who didn't communicate and didn't work things out in advance), but against the second. -- Andrew

- One (quite minor) issue I've noticed with having the reruns separate is that the Sesame Street page says there are two more episodes than there are (4633 vs 4631). So I support this. – Noah | (talk|activity|contribs) 22:17, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
