::::Both the above are correct. Henrik Nielsen (real name Ole George, he used a bunch of pseudonyms) contributed heavily to the Capital Records music library in the late sixties and seventies, pieces *intended* as cues for other productions or filler on radio and so on, so meant to become stock music. "Wild Clown" along with other circus/comedy sounds (there's actually a #1 and #2 on the clown, probably need the actual record to thresh out which as both are one minute) was on a library record called "Satirical Fun Stuff" as part of a series that began in 1968, can't find an exact date yet on this one (others are identified as "Fanfares/Programming Music," "Soap Operas/All Purpose Industry," etc.) -- Andrew 15:16, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

:::::Further pinned down! Ole George has a website where one can sample almost all of his cues, and it was "Wild Clown #1" (middle portion). Site also linked to the stand-alone Sound Cloud version, so here it is. -- Andrew 15:26, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

Forums: Index > Article Content > Music for Clown Makeup Insert

Participation in the Muppet Wiki Forums requires a full understanding of the Rules and Etiquette.

I keep forgetting to ask this, but the music that plays in the insert where Dennis Allen takes off clown makeup also shows up in the end credits of Amazon Women on the Moon, but that movie doesn't give any composer or title credit. Has anybody ever figured out where that music came from, was it written for Sesame Street, and who wrote it? Ken (talk) 05:17, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

Here's the Dennis Allen segment (YouTube). Do you have a clip of Amazon Women on the Moon? —Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 12:27, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
According to this posting, it's called "Wild Clown" by Henrik Nielsen. A further search found a forum discussing the exact same thing. -- Tony (talk) 13:56, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
It's stock music, it's been used in other productions too -- such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit (when Eddie first enters R.K. Maroon's office at the start of the film) and in The Critic (in the episode "Marty's First Date"). -- BradFraggle (talk) 14:59, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
