:::"Alarm Clock Bird," while labeled by function, would need to be rewritten entirely for a page move to make sense. "Canario" is spoken by the bird in Episode 1278 when Big Bird wonders what the Spanish word for canary is, but its not meant to be the bird's name (there's one "this canario" but otherwise just "a canary," "the canary," "this canary," etc.) Both characters only appear pretty briefly it seems. So we could either make a Canario page and link the two as Same Puppet, Different Caharacter instances (as we often do; it would also help if anybody who's seen the episode can ID the performer) or the page needs to be redone. Linz citation aside, script and dialogue don't treat it as an actual name, script has "A.M. Canary"; that's fine, we have lots of pages labeled that way, but the article should make the distinction. -- Andrew 02:03, 20 October 2021 (UTC)

I thought I'd start a thread on potential name changes to pages or characters whenever needed. I have a few in mind to start:

 • Alarm Clock Bird to "CanΓ rio" -- Peter Linz has sighted this name for the character on its page, and is supported by the puppet's appearance in Episode 1278.
 • Birdnardo Birdolucci to "Birdnardo Birdtolucci" -- per the spelling on Gina's slate from that episode.
 • Prince Rudolph -- stays the same, per someone's onscreen evidence from the Disney+ captions.
 • Bugsy (Muppet Show) to "Bugsy Salsapueda" -- same reason for Prince Rudolph, per his discussion page.
 • Sandbox:Sesame Street Episode Number Animations to "Sesame Street Show Identifications" (or Show IDs) - once it's moved from the Sandbox, as the scripts list these as "Show ID."

I figured it'd be better to discuss them here rather than just move them willy-nilly. What does everybody think? -- Tony (talk) 14:32, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

I think I can get behind these (Birdtolucci spelling is also supported by the script). - Shane latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 14:38, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

"Alarm Clock Bird," while labeled by function, would need to be rewritten entirely for a page move to make sense. So we could either make a Canario page and link the two as Same Puppet, Different Character instances (as we often do; it would also help if anybody who's seen the episode can ID the performer) or the page needs to be redone first. Linz citation aside, script and dialogue don't treat it as an actual name, script has "A.M. Canary"; that's fine, we have lots of pages labeled that way, but the article should make the distinction. -- Andrew Emoji-droolAdminsig 02:03, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
