Hey gang,
I just created Category:Sesame Street Story Arcs and migrated over what we'd previously been covering in a single page. I tried this some time ago with Slimey to the Moon, and it turned out really well, so I thought it would be worth making pages for the other arcs.
Individual pages for each allows us to talk about the production a bit more and add on details we find from interview quotes as well as production photos and tie-ins (like magazine references, etc) when we find them. It's also good for SEO, makes each story easier to link to around the wiki, and I think will serve as a good overview for casual readers who might not bother going through and reading each episode guide.
I put together the meat for each in cases where I could find supplemental material. As for the episode synopses, these shouldn't be comprehensive recaps; that should be left on the episode guide, while the summaries on the arc pages should only be a few details to give readers a taste of the episode's events. I did blurbs for eight of them, so there are still twelve arc pages that could use brief episode summaries.
Also, please excuse my spelling. I worked on these over the past week or so. I typically write in notepad and catch spelling errors when I paste into the edit window on the wiki, but spell check hasn't been working in Firefox lately. —Scott (talk) 19:05, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
- Looks good! Are you keeping the "story arcs" page or would you limit it to just two-parters? - Shane (talk) 19:07, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
- It will help with housekeeping too. Some users have been adding repeated notes about things like thanks to Puerto Rico or airlines for the Trip to Hawaii. Now if that happens (and it's noteworthy), they can just go on the arc page, and it's a better place to post occasional articles on local casting/location use for the trip episodes. -- Andrew 19:21, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
