A retread of an older discussion from months ago that didn't seem to go anywhere, but I was re-reminded of it while talking with Scott. The Sesame Street viral videos page created in 2010 is supremely outdated and unsalvageable at this point. Some of the videos listed have their own separate pages, so I'd like to split off the remainder of entries and create pages for them. I suggested possibly creating a subcategory specific to YouTube videos, or we could just cat them under the existing Sesame Street Web Content. I'm fine either way. — Jon https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/muppet/images/8/89/Adminsig.png/revision/latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 17:33, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

:::::Ergh. Yeah. The Elmo Facebook greeting, if it's still anywhere, is no longer reachable by that link. The Super Grover 2.0 stuff might be worth moving to that page, but has anyone even tried to keep track of these since 2010? And now with far more platforms used by Sesame Workshop, in contrast to the comparative scarcity of Disney Muppet videos and that they usually fall within either series or some subset of Disney promotional accounts, I'm not sure it's worth it, unless there's a specific reference or something to be cited on a relevant page. In 2010, it was a novelty still I guess, but now, I'm not sure every Cookie Monster or Elmo 30 second video or whatever is worth trying to track. What do others think? (Also, despite the description, I don't see anything from Tumblr on the page, just Facebook, so if the links can't be merged but are still deemed of interest, maybe find a way to work them into Facebook, or just a note that character accounts sometimes include exclusive videos). -- Andrew 22:45, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

:::::::Scott, that link just goes to the Elmo Facebook account. It might conceivably still be there, but it would take searching through the whole thing. [EDIT: Ah, I see you found it. — Jon latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 17:33, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

I second the motion (or is it third?). - Shane latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 17:43, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
I'm not sure "Smell Like a Monster" needs its own page (as it occupies the majority of the Old Spice page and is fairly well covered there, so that could just be a redirect if we think it's needed). On the other hand, Saturday Night Live is such a huge and varied page and looking at it, Cookie Monster's audition isn't even mentioned there. So I can see that being a stand alone page (and the rest seem like they'd work). -- Andrew Emoji-droolAdminsig 22:27, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
I don't think this page is very useful either. We're barely linking it anywhere. — Jon latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 22:36, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
Ergh. Yeah. The Elmo Facebook greeting, if it's still anywhere, is no longer reachable by that link. I should add that I'm for this so long as we don't lose any content. The Elmo Facebook greeting might have seemed insignificant at the time, but it's still an appearance and we should catalogue them somewhere. A lot of those links can be fixed by looking at the URL structure. —Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 23:33, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
Scott, that link just goes to the Elmo Facebook account. It might conceivably still be there, but it would take searching through the whole thing. [EDIT: Ah, I see you found it.
