We have a lot of examples of race on Sesame Street covered on this Sandbox page, and there's bound to be more with [[Sandbox:Season 52|Season 52]] on the horizon. At its current state, is the former page fit enough to move from Sandbox, and should we also create a "Race Relations" category to categorize individual pages? — Jon (talk) 17:12, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
- A category sounds good to me, but we might want to limit it specifically to articles about the topic or relevant productions (segments, episodes, songs, books, etc.) only because I can easily imagine people going overboard in tagging characters (we know Wes and Elijah were created specifically for that purpose, but with others and especially human characters, it could get very POV). -- Andrew 23:05, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
- I think the sandbox page needs some work before moving it out of that space. Not that it needs to be more "finished", just a bit more presentable with a proper lead and whatnot. I'm less sure about making a category, for the reason Andrew mentioned: we're absolutely going to get people adding the it to pages simply because the subject is a person of color. I think it would become very POV anyway without even having to worry about that element. —Scott (talk) 11:47, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
