This clip from the CBS News coverage of Jim Henson's death features some footage of Henson and Caroly Wilcox prepping Reporter Kermit for an appearance I don't think we have identified anywhere. It's stock footage from CBS's own archive and appears to have been about 1988 or 89. Do we have any idea what this might have been? —Scott (talk) 16:47, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
I found it! It's for the end of the News Flash bit with Mumford and Thumbelina. Mumford can be heard during the part with Wilcox and Henson (saying "... and the Wolf is small."). -- MuppetDude (talk) 17:16, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Ah, nicely done. That would account for the blue screen and the size of the microphone. It prompts another question, though: where is the CBS news segment this was shot for? Until then, at least it gives us another behind-the-scenes image. —Scott (talk) 17:22, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
I recall seeing a brief snippet of the taping of the Mumford/Thumbelina sketch during a news piece on Sesame Street within the last year or so. Probably CBS This Morning. (EDIT: I was right! — here, at the 3:30 mark) — Jon (talk) 17:20, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Nice find! I downloaded the YouTube version. (YouTube) —Scott (talk) 18:59, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
