These two pictures link to the same segment:

Which one should we use? (Only posting here in case anyone wants to do the sweeping changes.) --MuppetVJ (talk) 06:43, October 26, 2020 (UTC)

I came across this recently and then forgot to look into it or ask about it. Are both screenshots from the same version of the film, or is this one of those re-filmed situations? If it's the former, I'm in favor of the fuller hand. โ€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 11:54, October 26, 2020 (UTC)
It's from the same film; I'd go with the full hand as well. -- MuppetDude (talk) 14:02, October 26, 2020 (UTC)
Ah, I see the confusion. They're the same film but different soundtracks. The earlier one is scored by Peter Schickele while the other one is "Look a Little Closer". I'll make the appropriate changes. โ€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 15:21, October 26, 2020 (UTC)
Follow-up: our page for "Look a Little Closer" claims that the Raposo version first appeared in 0147, but the way the scripts are written for 0147 and 0165 make me skeptical that it's this version. I don't have every episode in which these two films are used, but I have some early ones at home I can check. โ€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 15:47, October 26, 2020 (UTC)

Here's a breakdown of the earliest appearances of both films. Any episode where I listed the music is a copy I could verify myself.

Episode Music Script
Episode 0010 Schickele (1:25) Film: Skin
Episode 0053 unknown Film: Sadan Skin
Episode 0067 unknown Film: Skin
Episode 0078 Schickele (1:25) Film: Skin (1:25)
Episode 0096 Schickele (1:25) Film: Skin
Episode 0106 unknown Film: Skin
Episode 0147 unknown Film: Skin (1:13)
Episode 0165 unknown Film: Skin (1:13)
Episode 0196 unknown Film: Skin (1:00)
Episode 0216 unknown Film: Skin (1:13)
Episode 0247 unknown Film: Skin (1:13)
Episode 0453 Raposo (1:10) Film: (LA) Skin (1:11)
Episode 0910 unknown Film: Skin (1:12)

It would seem that the films are not exact either, but the scripts still call them merely "Film: Skin" even long after the Raposo version is established. And although not every script includes the duration, it would seem that the ones marked between 1:10 and 1:13 are definitively Raposo. The one that's still a question mark is 0106, but it's safe to assume that since 0147 is definitively Raposo and it was in the second season, 0106 is most likely still the Schickele version.

Side note that the "Sadan" listed on 0053 seems to be the only time the filmmaker was noted in the scripts. It's consistent with the info Andrew included when the Peter Schickele article was first created. โ€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 01:03, October 27, 2020 (UTC)

Page 37 of the "First Season Show Content" from the archives supports this, as it has the handwritten note "Re-do?" next to the skin, tomato, and tire close-up films. -- MuppetDude (talk) 01:24, October 27, 2020 (UTC)
I found another one:
The picture on the left is from the Episode 1448 guide, and it's identical to the season 1 "Scrap Yard" film (on the right). -- MuppetDude (talk) 11:45, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
