Brad created Sandbox:Caricature Muppets back in 2009, and it's one of those sandbox articles I've been meaning to get to, but keeps falling by the wayside. I think it's a good idea, but I'm not sure what to do with it. We have Category:Caricature_Muppets and Category:Parody Muppets to think about, two categories that are sometimes difficult to separate because they're both distinct from one another but also have some crossover. I think Brad's sandbox page was meant to help clear up some of that confusion.
My first thought was that we should replace Category:Caricature_Muppets with this page because it's easier to explain in a tabled list why something is associated with that topic than it is just to tack a category on to it. Also because there are caricatures that we're just never going to have pages for.
I'm also not sure about the layout. Captions under each image in a gallery seem to be too long meaning it would be better to go with a table to provide more information. But then, in the case of the caricatures that we DO have pages for, there'd be a lot of duplication. So then I thought maybe we'd stick to the gallery after all, and cover the details on the pages for those caricatures; and in cases when the caricature doesn't have its own page, we link to a section on the article about the person who is being caricatured.
I'm leaning toward that last option, but I'm not sure which is the right solution. So, I wanted to open it up to the community for discussion. —Scott (talk) 13:00, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
