Fox in Socks was a recurring character on The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, typically seen in the company of Mr. Knox. Like his book counterpart, Mr. Fox wears blue socks on his hands and feet, but on the show, he also wears a matching scarf and bowler hat.
In the first season, Fox and Knox are portrayed as a vaudevillian comedy duo on stage and screen, and Fox is often trying to get Knox to leave his comfort zone. The duo also appeared, depending on the story, as doctors, reporters, and diplomatic couriers.
In the second season, he and Mr. Knox dwell within a large box that is periodically sent to the Cat's Playhouse.
