Gobo sings "Fraggle Rock Rock" when he is trapped in a cage by Junior Gorg while trying to rescue Wembley in the Fraggle Rock episode "Wembley and the Gorgs." The song is seemingly inspired by Elvis Presley's Jailhouse Rock.
Mokey, Boober and Red, who are trapped alongside Gobo, provide percussive back-up by hitting the walls of their cage with their various homemade weapons.
Red performed the song live at Comic-Con 2010 with Grant Baciocco on the guitar.
The song returned in the Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock episode "Into the Trash", performed by Foo Fighters and Uncle Traveling Matt in a pre-credits scene (an extension of that episode's postcard segment). Notably, a Rolling Stone headline mistakenly attributed Dave Grohl as the song's writer, a misconception that gained traction across other music and pop culture websites.[1]
