Franz Auer and friend
Franz Auer is a puppet builder and designer who has worked on Sesamstrasse as puppet wrangler and supervisor.
Auer looks after the puppets on the show as well as for museum exhibits and other events. He has built new characters on occasion, such as Günni on Eine Möhre für Zwei and the number 40 for the show's 40th anniversary episode. Auer has also worked with various German puppet theaters.
