Three promotional spots for The Muppets featured Constance Wu and Randall Park as representatives from the show welcoming the Muppets to ABC.

A promo featured Statler and Waldorf before the second season of Fresh Off the Boat premiere episode starts. Statler is watching TV and tells Waldorf that there is a show called Fresh Off the Boat. Waldorf replies, "Good match for the Muppets. Their's a sinking ship."

"Fresh Off the Goat" is one of several shows that Fozzie Bear pitches to Scooter in the Muppets Now episode "Fever Pitch."

In the second season episode "Miracle on Dead Street," Honey is dressed as Miss Piggy, which baffles Jessica. Honey's husband Marvin drives up with a "Hi ho, Kermit the Frog here" and costumed as same, while Jessica thinks he's dressed as a lizard. When Honey gets into the car, Marvin asks her not to step on his banjo.

In the second season episode, "Doing it Right," Evan says that there is going to be an ice cream cake with Grover on it for J.J's Birthday party.

In the season three episode, "WWJD: What Would Jessica Do?" Grandma Huang teases Louis after he gets his teeth whitened, referring to him as the kids' favorite Muppet: Dr. Teeth.

Most of the third season episode "Where Are the Giggles" revolves around Jessica attempting to get a Tickle-Me-Elmo for Evan.

In the fourth season episode "Kids," Grandma Huang asks Emery to rearrange things in her room, exploiting his jinx to break certain trinkets she doesn't like. One of the items is a Kermit the Frog Sigma mug, "Now grab that hideous Kermit mug Big Auntie gave me."
