Funny Girl is a 1964 Broadway musical based on Ziegfeld Follies star Fanny Brice.
The musical was adapted into a 1968 film starring Barbra Streisand as Brice, for which Streisand won an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. The film was followed in 1975 by Funny Lady, continuing to look at Brice's life and career.
