Gala of Stars 1983 is a three-hour PBS television special showcasing some of the world's most famous performers in opera, dance and chamber music. The special was recorded at Lincoln Center in New York City, and it aired on March 30, 1983. It was the fourth in a series of annual specials produced for the PBS fundraising season.

Miss Piggy made an appearance during the concert, talking to host Beverly Sills about opera singing. After some coaching from Sills, Piggy attempted an "al fresco" aria, pairing with Sills for Gioachino Rossini's "Cat Duet."[1] During her appearance, Piggy took umbrage at Cleo Laine's blues number "Gimme a Pigfoot and a Bottle of Beer."[2]

Other performers in the special included Plácido Domingo and Suzanne Farrell.
