"Garbageman's Blues Song" is a country-style ballad about the trash collector's lot, accompanying a live action film on Sesame Street. The singer describes his life as a garbageman, and the process which refuse goes through, including incineration, compacting and compressing, and recycling. The ultimate goal is to "make less of it" or find other uses for garbage.
