Garry Moore was a radio and television personality, sharing title billing with Jimmy Durante on radio from 1943 to 1947 and then headlining his own long-running TV series (1950-1964).
Moore also worked in game shows, hosting To Tell the Truth from 1969 to 1977. Caroll Spinney appeared in 1971, as the panel tried to identify who actually portrayed Big Bird on Sesame Street. Moore concluded the segment by saying there was only one misstatement, the assertion that the show was for kids 3 to 5. "Don't you realize it's also for kids 56? Wouldn't miss it!"
