George Martin (1926-2016) was a British record producer, arranger, and composer, best known for his work with The Beatles, serving as producer on their early albums and often performing piano on certain tracks. Martin's other work as a music producer ranged from Kenny Rogers albums to the single "Goldfinger". As a composer, he wrote incidental music for the Beatles' film A Hard Day's Night and scored Live and Let Die. For his contributions to the music industry, Martin received a knighthood in 1996.
