Geppetto

Geppetto is the lonely woodcarver who builds the title puppet in Carlo Collodi's book The Adventures of Pinocchio and wishes for it to come to life and be his son.

In the Elmo's World episode "Noses," Geppetto appears in a "Tickle Me Land" segment, in which he carves Pinocchielmo. In a nod to Pinocchio's appearance on a Sesame Street Newsflash, Pinocchielmo deliberately makes his nose grow by spouting a string of lies, from exaggerating his height to claiming his name is "Cookie Monster." His nose grows so large it pushes Geppetto into the air, where he pleas for help.
