Gerald R. Ford (1913-2006) was the thirty-eighth President of the United States, and was the only president never elected to be either president or vice-president.
In the Fall 1983 issue of Muppet Magazine, he contributed to "Robin's Roundup," an article featuring memories from celebrities' school days. Ford shares sentiments about his high school teachers, and laments on his sports activities at South High in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Ford appeared on Saturday Night Live in 1976, where Chevy Chase had been impersonating him, mocking his physical stumble down the stairs of Air Force One. After his presidency Ford made cameos on Dynasty, a documentary about The West Wing, and Mickey Mouse's 50th anniversary.
