Gerald Schaale (b. 1955) is a German voice actor who dubbed Ernie in The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland and Sal Manilla in Das Grösste Muppet-Weihnachtsspektakel aller Zeiten (It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie). He also dubbed Kermit's very brief cameo in Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium and a couple of one-shot Peacekeeper lieutenants in episodes of Farscape - Verschollen im All (Farscape).
Schaale possesses a high-pitched voice often used for excitable comedy types and has been the German voice of Daffy Duck since 1996, including redubs of Looney Tunes shorts, Space Jam, and Looney Tunes: Back in Action. He has dubbed Rabbit in Disney Winnie the Pooh productions since 2000, as well as dubbing Pinocchio in the Shrek movies, Mort in the Madagascar franchise, and the Mayor on the 2016 revival of The Powerpuff Girls.
In live-action dubbing, Schaale has been the primary German voice of David Schwimmer (including Friends) and often dubbed French Stewart. He dubbed Christian Clemensen on Boston Legal, Giles New as Murtogg in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Bill Irwin on Legion, Cullen Douglas on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and elsewhere, and Grant Shaud on Murphy Brown. On-camera credits include several appearances on Polizeiruf 110 (usually as a police official or forensics).
