"Get Along" is a Sesame Street doo-wop song about cooperation and how many separate parts can come together to make a great song. It was sung by Kermit the Frog, some Anything Muppet greasers, the Martians, Twiddlebugs, and a cow.
The song is a parody of the song "Get a Job" by the Silhouettes.
Notes[]
- The backing Muppet vocals heard in the song were provided by a New York-based a capella group called "The Lemmings," who also supplied vocals for "Wuntafordy." The group itself consisted of alumni from "The Williams Octet."[1]
- Performers include Jim Henson (Kermit and Thomas Twiddlebug), Martin P. Robinson (red Martian), Kevin Clash (orange Martian), Jerry Nelson (Fat Blue greaser and Timmy Twiddlebug), Camille Bonora (Green greaser, named "Veronica" in dialogue, and Tessie Twiddlebug), Richard Hunt (Purple greaser and Tina Twiddlebug), David Rudman (Lavender greaser), Jim Martin (the cow), and Pam Arciero.[2]
