"Get Low and Go" is a Sesame Street song originally written for the 1996 Sesame Street Fire Safety Station outreach kit. The song is included on the cassette of songs and stories as a part of the story "Firefighter Ruthie."
Ruthie sings the song, with a backing chorus of child and adult vocalists, about the proper way to get out of somewhere where fire is a threat - you must get as close to the ground as you can and safely escape from the building.
