Gimley appeared in several Muppet Meeting Films. His most notable appearance, and the source of his name, was the 1993 entry "How to Sell," demonstrating various sales techniques to his superior, including the "Cute Corporate Mascot Sell" (using Kermit the Frog).
The puppet also made cameos in "Top Ten Reasons to Take a Break" and "Win! Win! Win!", and appeared as an audience member in Muppet Classic Theater. He was also used as the host introducing the Alien Opera on Muppet Time (performed by Jerry Nelson).
