"Girls Just Want to Have Fun" was the first major single released by Cyndi Lauper on the album She's So Unusual. It was performed by Janice in the 1985 stage show The Muppet Show on Tour: 2nd Edition in a medley of 80s songs including "Beat It" and "Heart of Rock 'n' Roll." Zoe sang the song in the Sesame Place show Elmo Rocks.
