Global Citizen is a charitable organization devoted to ending extreme poverty by 2030. They have an annual televised broadcast, handing out the Global Citizen Prize.

2020[]
At the Global Citizen Prize 2020, Sesame Workshop won the Global Citizen Prize for Culture & Education for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The segment was hosted by John Oliver, with singer Alessia Cara singing "So Much Alike" with Elmo and other Muppets. Characters appearing in the segment included:
