A Goat appears in many Sesame Street sketches and episodes beginning in season 21, often performed by Jim Martin. Some of its appearances include:
- In Little Jerry's song "Mountain of Love", the Goat surprises the mountain-climbing pop star.
- The Goat adds a verse to "We Are All Earthlings", representing those who live high in the mountains. He is performed here by Jim Martin.
- The Goat is used to demonstrate G words in Bert and Ernie's Word Play.
- The puppet has also been used as Lassie, Oscar the Grouch's pet goat.
The Goat can also be briefly seen yodeling during the "Cabin Fever" number in Muppet Treasure Island, in which it has been given different pupils. Starting with The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, the same puppet was sporadically given grouch-like eyes; one such appearance is as one of Oscar's pets, Gus.
