Big Bird and Barkley, having been separated from their tour group, befriend a young Japanese woman who helps them catch up. They head to Kyoto to meet up with the tour, singing the song as they make their way; Big Bird pondering the things he can do and see in Kyoto.
The bridge of the song borrows the melody from "Oh! Susanna."
