"Gotta Be" is an original song from The Muppets Mayhem episode "Fortunate Son."
In flashbacks throughout the episode, a young Dr. Teeth (then known as Gerald Teeth, Jr.) keeps having run-ins with a young Floyd Pepper who plays a bluesy riff on the acoustic guitar, with Teeth on harmonica. This culminates in the Electric Mayhem performing the full song at a dentistry convention to get Dr. Teeth back in the band and away from his dentist parents.
In the episode, the first verse is sung primarily by Floyd. In the extended soundtrack version, it's sung by Dr. Teeth instead.
