Grandmother Happy is the sensible grandmother in "Hunt for Happiness," a Sesame Street spoof of soap operas. She has limited patience for the melodramatic panic of her grandchildren, Helen Happy and Harold Happy.
Similar shawled Fat Blue grandmothers have cropped up in other sketches or appearances (such as a cameo in The Muppets Take Manhattan). A Fat Blue granny was an ensemble character in several early Sesame Street Live shows.
