Oscar enjoys an odd assortment of food on the cover of a Sesamstrasse magazine.

Grouches eat foods that are often undesirable. Many dishes include coupling ice cream with irregular toppings, and they have a particular affinity for sardines in anything. According to The Sesame Street Cookbook, Grouches like sardines because they "come in a can and have a bad reputation!"

• In Episode 0046, Oscar asks Susan for more and more pickles and then for some chocolate sauce to pour onto them.
