Grouchy World is a Grouch amusement park that appeared in the June 1996 issue of Sesame Street Magazine as a two-page spread illustrated by Joe Mathieu.
The feature is presented as a puzzle in which readers are instructed to cut out pieces of the page to fit into the blank spaces in the picture.
Attractions are enclosed behind a wall of trash cans and construction doors that can be accessed by a main gate marked by a sign built out of old tools and gears. The gate marks the beginning of a foot bridge that covers the River of Water, which also serves as a rafting ride that makes its way through the park.
Other attractions include Ye (Very) Old Food Court serving an apple core as today's special, a log flume-style ride called Muddy Mountain which empties out into a pool of muck, and a Can Recycling Toss game made out of a mechanical dragon. Finally, as with many theme parks, Grouchy World is equipped with a castle of its own made out of construction doors, garbage cans, and old, rubber tires.
