Episode 2971 | Speedy Pizza Mr. Johnson is at home when he calls for pizza delivery. Naturally, the delivery comes by way of Grover who keeps messing up the order because he's not listening to the order. He brings a carpenter's saw and a potted flower attached to his head as a result of cutting Mr. Johnson off mid-sentence.

Episode 2984 | Grover's Taxi Stand Grover the taxi driver picks up Mr. Johnson, who's startled to find his usual waiter driving a cab. Mr. Johnson wants to go to the library. Grover says that that is a very wise choice, and talks about the great things about a library. "Of course, you could also go to the zoo," he observes, and talks about the benefits of visiting the zoo. He also suggests the museum, or a movie. Mr. Johnson insists that they go to the library -- but Grover says they'll have to wait until he gets his cab fixed. It's broken.

Episode 3103 | Grover the Flight Attendant (Something Warm) Mr. Johnson is cold and wants something warm. Grover suggests exercise, grabs him out of his seat and starts bouncing him around, which bothers a nearby passenger. Next, Grover gives Mr. Johnson a big hug, which doesn't work either. What Johnson really wants is a blanket, so Grover looks in the overhead luggage compartment, letting everything in it fall out and cover up Mr. Johnson.

Episode 3232 | Grover Portraits a Specialty Mr. Johnson comes to Grover's photo studio to have his portrait taken. However, Grover photographs his foot and hand instead, and has to be reminded to capture the face.

Episode 3237 | Take a Number, Sir Grover works at a bakery. Mr. Johnson gets a slip and is customer 40. Grover tells him to wait until he calls his number, which frustrates Mr. Johnson because there is nobody else in the bakery. He eventually gets to 40, but must wait again as Grover calls for his new number - 41 - in order to get a bag. Later airings, starting with Episode 3248, feature a new ending, with a Green Anything Muppet woman who has a 39 slip and a very large order. | |||
Episode 3262 | Exercise Instructor Mr. Johnson goes to the local gym, where Grover is one of the instructors. He is about to help Mr. Johnson work out, but keeps leaving to get his towel, whistle, barbell, and radio. Once he is fully equipped to work out, Grover is too tired to do anything else.

Episode 3396 | Grover's Frame Shop Mr. Johnson enters a framing shop to have a painting framed, only to find that Grover works there too. Grover assumes the painting is of his great-great-grandmother, but Mr. Johnson exclaims that it's his wife. After coming out from the back room with a circle and triangle frame, Grover finally frames it with a square, but destroys the original painting by splitting it over the bald man's head.

Episode 3407 | Wig Beyond the Fringe Grover attempts to sell Mr. Johnson a wig, but Mr. Johnson doesn't want any wigs. Eventually Mr. Johnson finds one but Grover informs him it is actually his pet guinea pig.

Episode 3448 | Grover Sells Clothes Grover works at a department store. Mr. Johnson wants a suit just like the one on the mannequin, but Grover is worried that the mannequin will be embarrassed.

Episode 3487 | Flight Attendant: Something to Read Mr. Johnson wants something to read, so Flight Attendant Grover suggests reading the exit sign, the safety manual and the tag on the collar of his shirt. After he informs Mr. Johnson that the airplane is out of newspapers and magazines, he sets the fat blue man on his lap and tells him to read his lips as he recites a story.

Episode 3489 | Big, Bigger, Biggest Popcorn Box Mr. Johnson asks Grover the concession stand monster for a box of popcorn. Grover asks him if he would want the big, bigger, or biggest box of popcorn. Mr. Johnson wants the big popcorn, but Grover suggests the bigger popcorn. The two have a tug-of-war over the popcorn, resulting in the biggest popcorn box falling over Mr. Johnson's head.

Episode 3784 | Knock Me Out at the Ball Game Mr. Johnson goes to a baseball game (populated with monsters) to catch a fly ball. Unfortunately for him, Grover is working there, selling hot dogs. Every time a fly ball comes his way, Mr. Johnson is protected (i.e. tackled) by Grover, who doesn't want him to sustain injury. Grover ends up catching a fly ball that bounces off Mr. Johnson's head when he explains what he's trying to do.

Episode 3845 | Hot Dog Vendor: Long/Short Grover sells hot dogs at the park. Mr. Johnson wants a hot dog, but Grover is out. He makes Mr. Johnson switch places with him while he goes to get more hot dogs, but then Grover asks for a hot dog. | |||
Episode 3850 | Big, Bigger, Biggest Car Rental Mr. Johnson wants to rent a car for going to Chicago, Grover shows him a variety for cars that he can choose from. When no car suits him, Grover gives him a piggy back ride to Chicago. | |||
Episode 3891 | Telegram Trainee Grover trains Elmo to deliver singing telegrams. He goes to Mr. Johnson's apartment to show Elmo how it's done, but gives Mr. Johnson the wrong telegram. Mr. Johnson is angry, because the telegram is noted as being from his mommy in Cincinnati, while Johnson claims his mommy is in Chicago. Elmo decides to deliver the same telegram but state that it's from his mom in Chicago, and Mr. Johnson tells Elmo to come back anytime (without Grover).

Episode 4132 | Outrageous Makeover: Home Addition In a spoof of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Grover (Frank Oz), with megaphone in hand, breaks into Mr. Johnson's house for another episode of Outrageous Makeover: Home Addition. Against Mr. Johnson's will, Grover enlists his construction team to add one door after another (hence the show's title) to the house, until there are four doors on the wall. Mr. Johnson demands that the doors be removed, and Grover complies, but suddenly there are no doors left to exit out of.

Episode 4230 | The Letter G Game Mr. Johnson wants to read in the park, when Grover appears as the host of "The Letter G Game". To win, he needs to find something that starts with G. Grover realizes he's a "gentleman" and gives him a multitude of G-word prizes.

Episode 4234 | V Salesman Grover tries to sell Mr. Johnson a letter V in the park. When he declines, he offers some V-word items, including an out-of-control vacuum.

Episode 4273 | SpiderMonster The Musical Mr. Johnson appears as the only attendee to the 17th opening night of "SpiderMonster the Musical", where SpiderMonster (portrayed by Grover) has a hard time creating the illusion of flying. Mr. Johnson teaches him about pulleys and ends up going flying himself. Bono Monster appears. Frank Oz plays Grover.

Episode 4302 | The Coffee Plant Mr. Johnson arrives at "The Coffee Plant," home of the freshest cup of coffee in the world. Unfortunately for him, it's Grover's shift and Johnson learns (the long way) how his coffee is made. Frank Oz returns to play Grover.
